temple wall

temple wall, originally uploaded by Vivek M.

'harsh' light, chose noon for the picture. not hinting at 'leading lines', nor 'rule of thirds'.
all three photographs previously unposted.

gathering from the presentation of this frame (the text) you seem to hint at what u are trying not to follow..

the pic-

I loved the colors and the textures.. the high wall, striking blue sky decorated with tree leaves and electric lines, an unoccupied stool all seem very interesting..

I am drawn to it by the absence of the human perse ..

what i am hinting is that fact that the composition need not always be based on the 'guidelines'. if you have noticed, this picture, however, has both the concepts of 'leading lines' and the 'rule of thirds' rolled into one. something that is usually not a part of the guideline advocacy nor is it usual.
human element... again you are getting back to the books. human element would have spoiled the picture by taking off too much attention from the derserving eye-hurting white, the leafless tree and the awkward stool.

well.. the absence of the human element was what drew me to this picture and which is what I was appreciating.. but apparently u seem too judgemental to see that..

well.. the other thing is that u are the one who is speaking of rules and rules and how u are breaking them.. and talking about others getting back to the books.. its more like it is in u'r head.. I follow no book.. I just use the knowledge and my imagination ..

'but apparently u seem too judgemental to see that..' i was making it clear why the absence of the human element meant a lot to me. i didn't even consider that 'element' in the first place...
'its more like it is in u'r head.' maybe sir. but i think i have successfully broken away from the 'rules'. i feel unbound like a bird now. i have read the books, no doubt, but i don't go back to them.
finally, 'I just use the knowledge and my imagination ..'- can i see where?

Sometimes noon pics can bring out interesting combos.

I have done a couple of them... myself.. and was quite curious about the results..
